The Petersens are a family of seven with a YouTube channel where they perform old folk songs. They have sung Shenandoah, which might have something to do with the national park. Or the Shenandoah river which runs nearby.

The park was quite pretty.

And the drive.

I drove quite a ways afterwards, into the night through a thunderstorm. Bolts, straight and bright as well as forked and angular, flashed every couple minutes for my last 150 miles. As it got darker I would see the dark silhouette of a cloud as a lightning strike lit the sky beyond.
